Art Making

I have found art-making to be an ever changing story. My collage and mixed media work is told in a language compiled through the layers and graphic elements of the paintings. The layering process is one I gravitate towards whether in mixed media, torn paper, digital images, sound or video. The layering allows for the elements of typography, calligraphy, photography, computer skills and applications-old and new to enter the work; in the effort of expressing myself visually. Although the paintings occasionally include a narrative, that narrative is suppressed - to allow interpretation by the viewer.
